Community Involvement

Aligned with our mission statement, “we improve lives,” we believe deeply in the importance of contributing to causes greater than ourselves. Our mission to improve lives reaches beyond each client relationship, inspiring us to help families flourish throughout our community today while laying the foundation for generations to come.

We believe that giving back, supporting those in need, and giving to those who need a hand up in life truly brings meaning to our careers, to our clients’ lives, and to the community. Our team is anchored to this common “why” as it inspires and connects us to push forward and encourage positive change. Through service, we believe that we can deepen our relationships and achieve a brighter world.

Supporting The Communities We Work In

Generation Private Wealth has been involved with Power Start for 5+ years. Once a week, our team members volunteer with this community program at BGC Kamloops (formerly Boys and Girls Club of Kamloops) to help prepare and serve a nutritious breakfast to children in our community. This program addresses food insecurity among children in Kamloops, helping to ensure children have access to the most important meal of the day and are able to go to school in the morning ready to learn.

Generation Private Wealth is committed to supporting the RIH Foundation as they seek to raise funds to support life-saving equipment and patient-centred care at our local hospital. Our sponsorship of both the RIH Radiothon and the SCT&I Charity Golf Tournament reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening local healthcare and ensuring that every patient in our region receives the care they deserve.

For more than 25 years, Generation Private Wealth has been a proud supporter of the Kamloops Food Bank, helping to ensure no family in our community goes without essential support. Through initiatives such as Basics for Babies, which provides vital supplies for infants and their caregivers, and the Starfish Backpack Program, which ensures school-aged children have enough to eat over the weekends, we remain dedicated to fostering care, dignity, and nourishment for those who need it most.

Mark Bertoli has been deeply involved with Rotary International, exemplifying a lifelong commitment to service and community leadership. As Past President of Kamloops West Rotary and a six-year member of the Board of Directors, Mark has played a pivotal role in advancing Rotary’s mission locally and beyond. He made history as the first major donor to the Rotary Foundation in Kamloops, and his exceptional contributions have been recognized with both the District Service Award and the Rotary International Presidential Citation for outstanding leadership and dedication.

Generation Private Wealth is proud to support Thompson Rivers University (TRU) through a variety of initiatives that empower students and strengthen our local community. From contributing to the TRU WolfPack Limitless Campaign to engaging directly with students from the Bob Galardi School of Business and Economics during TRU Finance Night and Career Days, we’re committed to fostering education, opportunity, and future leadership. Our ongoing partnership with TRU reflects our belief that investing in people is the most powerful investment of all.

Generation Private Wealth is the local organizer of the Kamloops Shoebox Project, an initiative that brings comfort and dignity to women in our community experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Shoeboxes are filled with essentials like socks, underwear, and hygiene items, plus other pampering goodies like gift cards, soaps, and bath products, a blessing to the women in the Kamloops community for which this might be the only gift they receive during the holidays.
